Not even 12 hours after the official release of the counter-strike ads update and its already been cracked!
Here's how you get rid of the ads in cs.
1: You download that pack (Old cs files, before the update)
CS Ad Remover
Mirror 1
Mirror 2
Mirror 3
Mirror 4
Mirror 5
2: Extract to cstrike folder
3: Restart Steam, and ads should be gone
HOW THIS WORKS:
When you run cs, it takes files from your cstrike folder, and then takes the rest from the counter-strike.gcf, All that you have to do is have CS load the ad-less files instead of the ones with Ad's in them.
Heres a log i found on a forum, that notes the changes in counter-strike.gcf after the update.
6 files don't match:
cl_dlls\client.dll
resource\UI\BottomSpectator.res
resource\UI\ScoreBoard.res
resource\UI\Spectator.res
resource\ClientScheme.es
resource\cstrike_english.txt
2 files added:
iga.dat
iga_static.wad
Like you can see, it's pretty obvious.. they added those two iga files, that are the ads, and they changed the scoreboard.res and spectator.res
I personally use it, but I don't take ANY responsibility for the use of this patch.
Theoretically nothing should happen to your account, If anything happens I will NOT be held responsible.

Placing the resource folder into cstrike did nothing.
Placing the UI folder into cstrike caused my computer to restart!
What the fuck is going on? Has that always happened, or is Valve taking destructive counter-measures against people attempting to remove these ads?
I interpret the intentional restarting of my computer as an act of violence, and I believe acts of violence should be met with violence in return. I hope Valve has not chosen to escalate this situation.
Why do people go out of their way to attack those who expose unethical business practices? They do so even to the extent of posing arguments that are in direct contradiction to reality, so they obviously are not motivated by reason. These people are motivated by something else. Something irrational.
You see, your post is only a few paragraphs long. I refuse to believe that this guy "eram" failed to read it properly. You didn't write anything about modifying client.dll. Even if one did infer that it would be possible to roll back counterstrike.gcf to the previous version, that wouldn't be a modification--that would be a rollback of the update, and Steam would recognize your files as such.
I'm also willing to bet that this guy does not work for Valve, nor for any other software publisher. A lot of people call these guys shills, but I think that's a misnomer. I don't think their self-interest is served in any direct way through these irrational actions. I don't even think they're fanboys.
You know what I think is happening? They're attempting to resolve cognitive dissonance. They see evidence of a company acting unethically, and it runs contrary to their worldview that such could be the case. They fill their heads with Ayn Rand, Milton Friedman, Libertarian Party crap that cannot coexist with the facts of reality as we know it. Therefore, when confronted with such facts, their brains go into overdrive attempting to rationalize away the facts and delude themselves.
I challenge eram to admit he was wrong and apologize. I don't think he's capable. If he even returns to the scene of the crime here, he'll probably read this comment as a personal attack and become completely incapable of basic reading comprehension.

first, I FUCKIN HATE VALVE AND YOU CAN BE SURE I WON'T BE ON THEIR SIDE!
second, if you didn't read, thers no cracked exe or dll, its just some .res files that describes the scoreboard and the spectator board, from the old counter-strike files. so there should be no problem.. there's no cracked dlls if you looked into the rar file.
and once again, i did this to pwn valve, because they are fags and they have no respect for us, the gamers.

also, i have no idea why your computer crashed, because that makes absolutly no sense, i have no idea how it could have..
sorry if anything bad happened, anyway. this should work.
i released a new version that is SLIGHTLY differant, fix some sizes in the scoreboard, but both version should have been working.
so once again, try putting it in the place i said, restart your counter-strike, and ads should be gone.

Ironically(?), my comment was about how there is no cracked .exe or .dll. You would have known that if you weren't so willfully ignorant.

However this update now fails thanks to the newest steam fix of loading outdated client dlls. =/
lol, There no need to download any such data or old files.
Files: iga.dat and iga_static.wad are main reason behind this ads.
Steps: Just delete this 2 files, no matter if you keep the new/old files.
Reason I predict: I think iga.dat include the panel link and sending data to those files where it should be shown with size percentage.
iga_static maybe containing ads panels. (I try to extract wad file but it result nothing using WAD Extractor.
